Career Pathways Collaborative reaching out to colleges and universities

The Collaborative has begun reaching out to community colleges and universities in the state of Kansas in order to provide the opportunity to review pathway content. We at cPass are hopeful that institutions of higher education will see the value provided by validating the knowledge, skills and abilities of high school students prior to entering into higher education programs related to the individual pathways. It is the hope of cPass that prior validation of student knowledge, skills and abilities in a pathway will lead to preference in acceptance to higher education programs and/or the awarding of credit hours in a pathway related program, thus setting up cPass students for future success in their chosen career. The Collaborative also plans to reach out to other state’s colleges and universities offering related programs to the pathway assessments, as well as reaching out to additional programs related to more of the pathways in the future.
